Dantherm Filtration has been involved with ATEX explosion standards via the Health & Safet Laboratory (HSL) in Buxton for many years. However, a large amout of disparate and confusing information has accumulated over the years, making life difficult for sellers, buyers, installers and users.
The Solids Handling and Processing Association (SHAPA) at the suggestion of Dantherm Filtration, decided to work with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) some time ago to produce practical guidance for manufacturers, buyers, sellers and users to answer frequently asked questions and bring together, in one document, the major issues raised by ATEX. It was designed for non-experts as a “rough guide” to ATEX. Dantherm compiled and edited the guide, with expert contributions from others and in consultation with HSE explosion safety experts.
The Guide was approved by HSE, who provided the foreword and it is available on HSE and also SHAPA websites:: Click here
