Ingersoll Rand’s D040 Mini Drills are the most compact on the market in their power category. They are intended for drilling applications in tight access areas in vehicles or in industrial environments.
The first standout feature of the D040 drill is its extreme compactness: only 17 cm long weight just 770 grams (excluding battery). An electronic variable speed controller gives maximum flexibility in use and longer motor life. With 4.52 Nm torque and a maximum speed of 1100 rpm, it can be used to drill metals and other hard materials and to drive fasteners easily. It can accept bits up to a maximum diameter of ¼".
D040 compact drills can be powered by IQv 7.2 V Li Ion or NiCd batteries. This means that customers already using Iqv tools do not need to buy an additional battery and charger. The drills have high resistance to impacts and chemicals thanks to their composite shells and their steel-reinforced aluminium percussion mechanism housings. A keyed chuck ensures secure fastening of the bit on the drill.
