Handles with Antimicrobial Action
Elesa has recently turned its attention to the introduction of SANitised elements with antimicrobial action for use in hospital/medical, showers, invalid equipment, food processing, catering and public service areas. Their first introduction is the EBP.SAN bridge handle in matt black for use as grab handles to hold equipment, open drawers, steady a person/operator. The EBP.SAN is made of a technopolymer with a special silver content. When microbes/fungus/mildew etc digest silver ions they are destroyed from the inside. Chemically silver ions bind microbe cell walls, thus preventing cellular "respiration", causing lysis (rupture) of the microbe.
Custom Directions on Standard Components
Standard machine elements such as handwheels and knobs are the ideal solution to manual operation of equipment - now Elesa (UK) Ltd are able to customise these items with logos directions, labelling etc., to enhance usability.
The addition of printed or laser etched graphics on standard components greatly adds to the value of engineering applications with specific features improving the appearance and use of the whole installation.
Clean Line Products – A new concept in Standard Elements
The clean-line range of handles, knobs and lobe knobs allows increased levels of cleanliness in electronics, biotech, medical and pharmaceutical situations.
The range features a high gloss finish in super resilient technopolymer, coloured ivory white to RAL 9002, and with stainless steel inserts. Smooth design and clean moulding techniques minimise any dirt retaining crevices. This matches standards for equipment destined for clean environments of all types and shows up more easily any dirt deposited on it, which may then be readily removed, thus permitting increased levels of cleanliness.
