Minarc series of MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA lightweight inverter welders from Kemppi has been extended with three models for MMA and TIG welding being added to the range.
The Minarc 220 is a three-phase 400V 50/60Hz lightweight MMA/TIG inverter welding machine launched as a higher power addition to the existing MMA/TIG welders. The MinarcTig 250 and 250 MLP are three-phase 400V 50/60Hz lightweight MMA/TIG inverter welding machines, whilst the existing MinarcTig 180 Adaptive is also now offered with a MLP control panel.
All are small in size with high power to weight ratios and are ideal for professional repair and maintenance work, agricultural and horticultural applications, educational colleges or anywhere where welding has to be carried out on site using a >15kVA power generator, at sea or on land.
The Minarc 220 is rated 150A/26V @ 100 per cent duty cycle for MMA welding and 160A/16.4V @ 100 per cent duty cycle when TIG welding, whilst the maximum welding current for both MMA and TIG welding is 220A @ 35 per cent duty cycle.
When TIG welding, the TouchArc ignition system enables the operator to scratch start the arc. The control panel has a single knob electrode selector, with fine adjustment possible using the same knob.
