The Technology of Elesa – finding applications other manufacturers cannot reach
Elesa offer standard machine elements – knobs, handles, clamps, handwheels - applying materials and production technologies in a way that is changing the way we interact with manually operated equipment.
Products that actively kill bacteria on their surface; a whole new type of soft touch products which are more comfortable to hold - each of these required major technological advances. The first to incorporate active silver ions into the plastic without destroying their bacteria-busting action in the moulding process, and the second in development of a complete new moulding methodology with a new configuration of moulds and special injection machinery to operate them.
Elesa's flexible manufacturing processes deliver multiple colours as standard; logos, warnings and instructional markings to order and fixing systems by selection from plain bore to clip-fix. These same processes can also handle high impact thermo plastics and increasing requirements for stainless steel – ultimately providing quality and choice to OEMs and end users.
By pushing forward the boundaries of their standard products, Elesa can now also offer that same novel (often patented) technology in the development of custom products, thus adding definition to a customer’s own niche equipment.
