Kistler Instruments 6182B miniature mould pressure sensor
Special version of Kistler Instruments’ Type 6182B miniature mould pressure sensor is for use when moulding plastics materials reinforced with glass-fibre and other abrasive materials.
The Type 6182BCE has a chromium-plated front face but is otherwise identical to the existing standard product including single-wire technology for quick and easy installation in multi-cavity moulds. Sensitivity is given as 2.5 pC/bar over the operating range of 0 to 2000 bar in the melt temperature range up to 450 °C, while the operating temperature range is from 0 to 200°C.
The front diameter is only 2.5mm, making the sensor suitable for small parts moulding in multi-cavity moulds.
