Type 8714B miniature single-axis accelerometers from Kistler Instruments
Kistler Instruments has introduced two miniature single axis accelerometers with ranges of ±100g and ±500g for temperatures from -54°C to +165°C.
Low mass and small profile, combined with integral ground isolation and centre hole fixing allowing 360 deg cable orientation, suits the new Type 8714B accelerometers to a wide variety of applications. The sensor design uses an annular shear piezo-ceramic with an internal hybrid impedance converter to provide a low impedance output in a titanium / aluminium housing, hermetically sealed to IP68.
A frequency range of 1Hz to 10kHz, shock load capability of 5000g and small size make the accelerometers ideal where cable orientation is important or height restrictions apply.
