Unipart has switched to using ESAB stainless steel welding wire
Unipart has switched to using ESAB stainless steel welding wire supplied in Mini Marathon Pacs on 20 welding robots that fabricate automotive exhaust systems, including stainless steel systems for Land Rover. The result has been less wastage, savings in time and cost, and improved quality. One of the issues Unipart wanted to tackle was the 10 to 15m of welding wire that was typically wasted from the ends of reels that had been supplied too tightly wound. Using ESAB’s Mini Marathon Pacs has meant that, at the most, only one metre of wire is lost
