Safe behind screens
Jaguar is protecting staff in the logistics warehouse at its Castle Bromwich manufacturing centre by using Troax pallet rack safety screens. The screens were installed during a major investment and consolidation programme on the site.
The project was carried out through main racking contractor Dalvie Systems, who used a combination of new systems and existing eracking to increase threefold the amount of storage space within the warehouse.
Following reconfiguration of the warehouse layout, further exposed areas of racking were created where items could potentially fall and injure staff working in the aisles. Dalvie brought in Troax to secure the racking with its Musca wire mesh pallet rack safety screens.
The Musca all-welded panels are constructed from steel mesh welded to a tubular frame for optimum strength between wire and tube.
As well as supplying the new safety screens, Troax also supplied a variety of trims, edgings and other fittings to enable existing equipment to be re-used, so allowing DalvieSystems to create the most cost-effectiuve solution for the project.

Troax has carried out other projects for Jaguar, most recently at the Halewood plant on Merseyside.
