Jungheinrich has evolved from a manufacturer of industrial trucks to a full logistics service provider able to offer a comprehensive range of solutions for all your logistics demands.
The basis of the company's success is its broad range of products, strong direct sales and a targeted range of services, but, with unit sales of some 82,000 trucks globally, customer satisfaction is at the core of Jungheinrich’s mission statement. Today, in Europe alone over 600 sales consultants and more than 2900 mobile service engineers maintain a close-knit network providing competent consulting and a comprehensive service.
To ensure that the company is able to meet the rapidly increasing global demand for its range counterbalanced and warehouse trucks, Jungheinrich has recently injected some 40 million euros into its factories in Moosburg, which is close to Munich, and Norderstedt, located just outside the busy industrial port city of Hamburg.
The upgrade to the Norderstedt facility was completed in August 2007 and the plant now boasts what is considered to be the biggest reach truck production line in the world.
The Jungheinrich truck range has also benefited from the company’s investment strategy and several new and exciting products have recently been launched.
Perhaps the most significant development from the company so far this year is its 4 Series new range of IC engine-powered counterbalanced machines featuring a hydrostatic drive. The new series 4 is capable of lifting loads of up to 3500kg up to heights of 7.5 meters and is available in both diesel and LPG versions.
In simple terms, by their very nature hydrostatic trucks are particularly suited to highly intensive materials handling operations.
A hydrostatic truck is the ideal choice for applications involving a lot of “shuttling” operations – such as lorry loading and unloading and around a busy warehouse or factory environment.
But, of course, there is more to Jungheinrich than forklift trucks. In fact, in the region of 20 per cent of Jungheinrich’s turnover comes from multi-product projects and systems integration.
Material handling systems integration is, by definition, the bringing together of multiple technologies in an interconnected system and delivering successful integrated projects (regardless of every size) demands expertise across a whole spectrum of materials handling equipment - including forklift trucks, very narrow aisle (VNA) equipment, stacker cranes and racking as well as conveyors, warehouse management systems (WMS) and automated guided vehicles.
Having a wide range of products in the marketplace has certainly contributed to Jungheinrich’s success, but so too has the company’s organisation and the fact that its highly trained workforce has the competencies , skills and passion to design and deliver them.
So, whatever your materials handling requirements - from a simple hand pallet truck to a fully automated turnkey system - make sure you speak to Jungheinrich.
