Mould closing, force sensor from Kistler
A new mould closing force sensor, strain transmitter Type 9238A from Kistler, combines the measuring element and electronics in a single, extremely robust housing. It measures both the small forces during mould movement and large forces during mould closure.
Easily mounted with just one M6 screw, the transmitter has two signal outputs providing parallel signals to represent the force during tool movement and the closing force. This allows simple integration into the moulding machine's control system. Both measuring ranges and other functions, such as signal inversion and signal offset, can be preset with the software supplied.
