MC range of Lenze geared servo motors has expanded to cover more than 7500 selections with in-line or right-angle gearboxes. This standard range includes synchronous motors with rated torques from 0.6 to 32Nm and asynchronous motors of 2 to 55Nm.
Selections are fully documented with data on torques, inertias, service factors and thermal/ mechanical limits, allowing the design engineer to match the drive to the load and achieve optimum machine performance.
Not every machine needs the small size and low backlash of planetary gearboxes. Although Lenze offers planetary models with 6 arcmins of backlash, there is also a lower cost option of helical gearboxes where the backlash can be as low as 10 arcmins. A new small helical gearbox has been added to the MC range with ratios from 2.5 to 60 and output torques up to 45Nm.
The choice of right-angle geared servo motors includes the high-efficiency bevel and helical bevel models, and also low-cost helical worm. Overall the MC range extends to torques up to 11600Nm.
For most applications with servo motors, gear ratios tend to be about 10 or less.
