Sibre TE-I is a new imperial drum brake with a unique synchronisation linkage that takes the pain out of equalising the shoe air gap and eliminating shoe/drum rub.
It is now available from innovative power transmissions firm Centa, and provides a highly versatile solution to general industrial applications requiring reliable braking, as well as cranes and conveyors in steel, materials handling and other industries.
The unique Lever Synchronisation Linkage eliminates the need for heel bolts and makes equalising the shoe air gap quick and simple and eliminates shoe rub and consequently, premature wear.
Another feature of the TE-I is the optional Auto Wear Compensator which will withstand high levels of vibration and ensures continuous high braking performance, even in the dirtiest conditions.
The new TE-I is available in six different imperial sizes from 8 to 23 inches providing a range of torques for maximum braking safety and efficiency at all speeds, in any rotation direction. A number of optional extras are also available including lining wear compensators, position monitoring switches, manual release levers and drums and couplings.
This highly efficient drum brake complements the range of disc and drum brakes already available from Centa, who also manufacture and supply gears, gearboxes and flexible power transmission couplings.
