8049 digital positioner from Schubert & Salzer
Schubert & Salzer says that its new 8049 digital positioner is the first such device to offer an AS-I interface. A direct progression from S&S’s 8048 unit, it maintains all the inherent benefits such as direct mounting and elimination of external moving components, then adds further innovation to give higher air flows and the ability to use as two-wire loop-powered positioners.
The 8049 positioner is seen as an important addition to the S&S range, and what sets it apart is its universal applicability.
It can be configured via a PC interface and a graphical interface. Any on-site configuration is kept to an absolute minimum, being limited to self-balancing and stroke adjustment locally if required.
