The Toledo cleanroom partitioning system from Troax has been specified in the building of a new cleanroom complex for semiconductor manufacturer Semefab.
Toledo partitioning is a medium specification cleanroom system of monobloc construction that uses an inert and non-particle shedding finish designed to prevent the collection of particles and ensure easy-to-clean, smooth surfaces.
Fitted by cleanroom installation specialist Scotsolve, the new cleanroom complex at Semefab is divided into five units.
Each two-room unit consists of a 'service chase' where heavy parts from production equipment are located, linked to the cleanroom itself.
A dividing wall (also constructed from Toledo) segregates the two rooms, with equipment protruding through the wall into the cleanroom where the fascia is located.
The partitioning has been precision cut to fit the outline of the equipment to create a complete seal.
A central corridor, incorporating fire-rated doors with double-glazed panels from Troax's Excalibur range, links all the rooms in the facility.
