Secure storage for works of art

28/03/2008

A high-security private storage facility has been installed by partitioning specialist Troax at the West London depository of fine art and furtniture storage and shipping company Cadogan Tate.

Troax used its solid steel Broadsword partitioning to create a series of 16 lockable storage units, each offering approximately 14m2 of storage space, on an existing mezzanine floor of the depository. The contract was carried out in conjunction with main contractor STS Storage Systems, who designed the facility.

Broadsword modular single-skin steel partitioning proved ideal for the project: its solid construction ensures complete privacy for clients and their belongings. The partitioning is also extremely strong and durable, ensuring a safe and secure environment for valuable items. Flexibility was another important advantage: the storage units have also been fitted with internal walls — also constructed from Broadsword — which can be easily dismounted and relocated if required.

This means that the size and number of storage units available can be altered quickly should requirements change.

Adrian Williams of STS said: “We’ve worked with Troax for years and always go to them for this type of project. They installed the series of private storage rooms, which we designed as a cost-effective, modular solution that met Cadogan Tate’s requirements exactly.”
