Available with immediate effect are upgrades to the 2.2 and 2.6kW Profi lifter and puller winches in the air powered range of J D Neuhaus handling equipment.
All products in this range can now be supplied with the DN control pendants. These incorporate larger diameter hose feeds, capable of utilising the full airline flow and pressure (6 bar), to take advantage of the robust vane motor capacities. An approximate 30 per cent increase in rope speeds can be achieved, without any adjustment required to the recommended load capacities.
Where time taken on the lift/lowering procedures represents the major part of a handling process, then appreciable savings can result from higher production efficiencies without any compromise in operating safety.
Long drum versions of the same products can now also be fitted with axially split rope drums. To achieve this, an additional drum flange divides the rope drum into two equal parts. This flange incorporates four rope-end fastenings, two for each drum section, with contra-orientation. This provides dual spooling direction on each side of the divided drum.
This feature, which provides for two suspension wires, is particularly useful where operating with an unbalanced load or where synchronised lifting is required.
All the lifter/pullers in the range are manufactured with durable steel structures to provide lift capacities of 1200 or 2000kg, and pulling capacities of 1800 or 3000kg. Planetary gearboxes are exhaust-air cooled and incorporated into the drums for minimum maintenance and maximum reliability even at a 100 per cent duty cycle. With local lever or pendant controls, the winches are easy to install, have low noise levels and provide variable-speed operation with shut-off valves incorporated as standard.
Lifting winches can also be equipped with emergency lowering devices when used as rescue or escape equipment. In addition all products are Ex rated for hazardous area operation with increased spark protection also available for higher safety specifications.
